Terrace Downs Resort is nestled at the foot of the New Zealand’s Southern Alps, Terrace Downs offers a unique golf resort in the heart of Canterbury’s beautiful High Country.
Only one hour from Christchurch International Airport, Terrace Downs has so much to offer, and there’s something for everyone!
The Golf Course: this incredible 6,406m (7,006yds), par 72 course is like no other. The front nine holes offer a beautiful example of a parkland course, while the links-style back nine provide exceptional views of Mt Hutt ant the Rakaia River.
The course accommodates for all golfers. The course is open 7 days a week, with bookings preferred.
The Clubhouse: The Clubhouse at Terrace Downs provides panoramic views of our breath-taking mountain landscape. Our two restaurants cater for all requirements, from a quick snack after the first nine, to a decadent evening meal.
The Pro Shop provides friendly assistance, golf accessories, hire clubs, electric carts, course guides and Terrace Downs souvenirs. The Clubhouse has fully equipped locker rooms, luxurious showers, and a newly-appointed gymnasium.
Accommodation: Terrace Downs Resort offers a choice of two deluxe accommodation options.
Villa suites - Are self-contained units with luxurious beds, a delightful raised spa bath and spacious open-plan living areas. The Villa suites all look out directly onto the 18th fairway, with a spectacular view of Mt Hutt from across the back nine holes of the golf course.
Chalets – The chalets are separate, architecturally designed, four and seven bedroom houses spread out amongst the resort. These beautiful chalets boast all modern conveniences and great indoor-outdoor living areas with stunning views over the golf course to Mt Hutt.
Activities: Terrace Downs is a captivating year-round holiday destination for thrill-seekers and those who enjoy more genteel pursuits. There is much on offer from the winter highlight of skiing at nearby Mt Hutt through to the slow paced peace on offer at Terrace Downs spa, where you can relax and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. Take a walk to admire the local surroundings, or select from any other options.
